They were founded in 2000 and are a  premier supplier of SABS approved concrete roof tiles, offering a  comprehensive choice of interlocking concrete tile designs to suit every building design and budget, from prestigious high-end private dwellings to cost-conscious group housing.

The first tile was the Double Roman followed by  Tuscan, then concrete roof tiles, clay bent tiles, and shingles. Their range includes the Slate, a flat roof tile, the Romano and the Reno.

Available in red, brown, slate grey,  terracotta and others, their roof tiles are manufactured from inorganic iron pigments mixed in with washed sand and cement during the production process.

Sammy Liebermann established Liebermann Pottery in Johannesburg in 1952 where artists work on their beautiful tiles which add unique creativity to any space.

There is a limited supply of their picture tiles, which are gradually disappearing from their collection, and won’t be made again.

Tiles for mosaic:

Liebermann Pottery manufactures specialized, 5mm thick tiles for mosaic work, where all  primary colours are available. They also sell broken pieces of porcelain and  beads which may be inlaid into a mosaic work.  Their mosaic tiles are 150mm square and can be made to order if you have a large project to work on.
